Everything to Know About The Gulfstream G650ER

Fleet

The ultra-long range Gulfstream 650ER is an exciting new addition to the Schubach Aviation charter fleet, with an impressive 7,500 nautical mile range in favorable conditions. Upon introduction in 2014, it set a new standard for long-distance private travel, combining high speed (at nearly the speed of sound), long range performance, and cabin comfort. The G650ER holds over 90 speed and distance records and is capable of connecting almost any two cities in the world without stopping.

Background

The G650 entered into service in 2012, as Gulfstream’s largest, fastest and most expensive aircraft. The introduction of its extended range version, the G650ER, redefined long-range aviation when it was introduced in 2014. Increasing its already impressive range by 500 NM — or 7,500 NM total — it enabled record-setting ultra-long range, non-stop route capability.

Capability

In April 2019, the G650ER set the current distance record for the longest business jet flight, flying 8,379 nautical miles from Singapore to Tucson, Arizona. Optimized for ultra-long-range business aviation, the aircraft is powered by two Rolls-Royce BR725 engines designed to maximize range while minimizing fuel burn. Its wings house an additional 4,000 pounds of fuel, for a total of 48,200 pounds of fuel capacity.

Performance

Best suited to long-distance intercontinental travel, the G650ER is one of the fastest jets available offering significant time-savings thanks to its Mach 0.85–0.90 operating speed and ability to travel non-stop for around 15+ hours.

Cabin

The G650ER’s cabin is among the most spacious in the ultra long-range category, well suited to long journeys. It features 16 signature Gulfstream panoramic windows, a wider-than-usual cabin for more aisle room and generous seating, and flexible configurations for seating (up to 19 passengers) or sleep (up to 10 passengers). Among its comfort features is the lowest cabin altitude (4,060 feet) in its class, for a more restful flight experience.
