KIMBERLY HERRELL
CO-OWNER, CEO

Owner and CEO Kimberly Herrell is a 19-year aviation industry veteran. She drives the company’s overall vision with the same determination and commitment to excellence that has defined the first-in-class jet charter operator’s success for a milestone 30 years.

A graduate of Utah Valley University, Kim first made her mark in luxury hospitality prior to applying the invaluable experience to the private aviation industry. She joined Schubach Aviation in 2005 and was appointed to President in 2018 by company namesake and founder Henry Schubach, prior to acquiring the business in January 2020.

As CEO of Schubach, Kim drives Schubach Aviation’s overall vision and corporate values. Under her leadership, Schubach Aviation has instituted a “safety first” organizational culture, earning safety recognition exceeding the required FAA regulations (including IS-BAO Sage 3 and Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP). She oversees marketing, sales, and business development initiatives with a strategic focus on future growth, positive company culture and delivering immersive aviation experiences for clients interested in customizable adventures. In 2018, Kim launched Schubach’s successful Elevated Excursions program followed in 2020 by the company’s VIP ACCESS program, a curated collection of one-of-a-kind travel opportunities developed exclusively with the company’s world-class partners that has been featured in Forbes Lifestyle, Robb Report and CNN Travel.

She champions Schubach Aviation’s enduring commitment to philanthropy and is passionately involved in the company’s charitable giving initiatives, which have benefitted non-profit organizations including Monarch School, Shelter to Soldier, Immunotherapy Foundation, and the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego. In addition, she serves on the board of Promises2Kids.

Kim was recently honored by Visit CA as a “California Woman Making [Her] Mark” and was recognized as one of San Diego’s 500 most influential business leaders by the San Diego Business Journal, in addition to being a “CEO of the Year” finalist in 2021.

When not leading Schubach, Kim enjoys exploring the globe through international travel with her family.

DIRECTOR OF MAINTENANCE

Aldon Colby has served as Schubach Aviation’s Director of Maintenance since the company’s inception over 30 years ago. Aldon is highly regarded for his extensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance, his meticulous attention to detail and his unwavering commitment to meeting only the highest standards. Aldon brings a considerable benefit to aircraft owners during pre-purchase inspections and in maintaining the asset’s value over time.

Colby is the owner of Hangar One of California and oversees a growing staff of experienced airplane mechanics. His commitment to following best practices is reflected in our 25 year flawless safety record.

In his spare time Aldon enjoys motorcycles and spending time with his family.

Michael started his aviation career at Schubach in 2006 as an intern and over the years has become an invaluable part to the company, mastering a number of roles prior to taking on the responsibilities of Flight Operations Manager— and occasional Citation Jet co-pilot. He holds a bachelor of science degree in Aviation Management from Southern Illinois University and has a Citation Jet SIC (Second in Command) type rating.

Mike’s favorite flight destination is Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Jolane Crawford cultivates Schubach’s client and community relationships so that we can better service their private charter needs.

A graduate of Los Angeles’ Pierce College, where she studied Business Administration, Jolane has more than 30 years of aviation industry experience. She joined the Schubach team in 2002, first working directly with clients in the charter department. Since then, she’s drawn on her talents for fostering relationships to strengthen our community rapport and expand Schubach’s client base.

Jolane shares a passion for philanthropy with Schubach founder Henry Schubach and is very involved in garnering support for our charitable giving efforts.
