Last week we received several phone calls from concerned family members and businesses wishing to extract their loved ones and employees from the hurricane aftermath in Cabo San Lucas. Initially there was not much we could do as all communication to the airports was cut off and no US registered charter planes were authorized to fly in. On Wednesday afternoon we got word that some of the airports were opening up and with that the chance to assist in retrieving people that had been stranded. We’ve now conducted a total of 7 missions into Baja airports and are happy that we have the ability to assist in any way.
On Friday we received a special email from one of the customers that we assisted. We were granted permission to post it here:
I wanted to let you know how grateful I am an impressed with your outstanding staff who worked with me to rescue my son Robert William Amezcua and his friends from the chaos in Cabo San Lucas and La Paz yesterday. Mike was my primary contact and was extremely patient, efficient and helpful through the ordeal. There was lots of uncertainty and I must have called your office 100 times and changed options several times until we sound something that worked. Everyone I spoke with was helpful and courteous and focused on helping me.
When we finally came to a scenario that worked all your planes were booked, but Mike scrambled and found us a plane that could get down to La Paz that same day, yesterday. My son reported how relieved he was to see the plane and so very much impressed with the first class service provided by Shubach Aviation. I am happy to report that my family and friends are safe in San Diego and will be headed back home to Dallas area today.
I picked your service because I liked what you said about the company on your web site and the way I got instant information when I first called. I can now assure you that everything you say about service on the web site is true. Congratulations on running an outstanding company and thank you again for your service. Please pass along my thanks to all of your employees.
